THE STORY
British founder Flick, a surfer and sun-worshipper, believed that swimwear is best when simple, beautiful, and sustainable.
A self-confessed bikini addict, she came to realise how difficult it was to find swimwear that was not overcomplicated, overpriced or uncomfortable to wear and surf in, let alone that was sustainable. Likewise, many friends often struggled when buying bikinis because they are usually sold as sets and it is rare to be the same size on the top and bottom.
This led to the idea of her own sustainable swimwear label Flickini in 2018, which was officially launched in 2020 after sourcing the best eco-friendly fabrics, perfecting designs & testing all the products.
Flickinis are sold as separate pieces, which means you can mix ‘n’ match styles, sizes and colours, leading to a personalised bikini buying experience.
SUSTAINABILITY
All Flickini swimwear is made using ECONYL ® yarn, a 100% regenerated nylon fibre made from nylon waste otherwise polluting the Earth, like fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring & industrial plastic rescued from all over the world.
This means that no new resources are needed for our swimwear, and that nylon waste is recycled into something beautiful. What’s more, this magic fabric is super soft, ultra-resistant to chlorine & sun cream, and offers UV protection, which makes it a perfect eco-friendly material for swimwear.
As well as swimwear, Flickini offers sustainable accessories which are perfect for beach days, travelling, and everyday use. Our beach towels are made from 100% regenerated cotton, which means no new cotton is used and the fabric is free from chemicals, pollutants and harsh dyes. Our stainless-steel bottles are an everyday necessity and help reduce the use of single-use plastic bottles.

Flickini focuses on offering a wide range of styles, sizes and colours, so as to suit any body type and any skin tone. With a variety of top styles and bottom cuts, there is something for everyone, and the amount of coverage is up to the individual.
